Data protection notice in accordance with Article 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
The protection of privacy when processing personal data is an important concern for us, which we pay close attention to in our business processes.
I. Data handling for contract processing
The processing of provided personal data (name, address, date of birth, vehicle registration number) and the technical data of the vehicles (VIN) by us - or a processor commissioned by us - is necessary for the proper processing of the underlying contractual relationship for test drives, purchase contracts, workshop contracts, repair orders or a §57a inspection.
The data may be passed on to the following recipients: Vehicle manufacturers as guarantors, leasing or financial institutions, experts, tax consultants (to fulfill our tax obligations). The processing or transmission is based on Art. 6 GDPR (consent, fulfillment of contract, fulfillment of legal obligations, legitimate interests). The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the aforementioned purposes. However, we must store personal data if we are legally obliged to do so, for example due to storage obligations or limitation periods for potential legal claims that have not yet expired. Without this data it is not possible for us to fulfill the contract with our customers.
II. Data processing for advertising purposes
This data will only be processed with the customer's voluntary consent, which has been given in writing.
In this case, MHS Truck Center GmbH, if necessary with the involvement of a commissioned service provider (graphic artist, advertising agency, printer, mail order company, telephone marketing), will use personal data of the customer (name, address, date of birth, email or telephone) and technical vehicle data (VIN) for advertising purposes (customer information and support, invitations, invitations to product events, notifications about technical innovations for the vehicle, tire changes, §57a review, service information and service campaigns, follow-up offers when the leasing or financing contract expires, insurance offers, new purchase option for current vehicle, mailing of customer magazines, survey of customer satisfaction with the company's services) until customer’s further notice, revoking the consent.
This consent is given voluntarily and can be revoked at any time by email or post (see Section III).
III. Customer Privacy Rights and Contact Information
You can request information from us at any time about your stored or processed personal data (Article 15 GDPR), correct it (Article 16 GDPR) or restrict its processing (Article 18 GDPR) and demand your right for data transfer (Article 20, 21 GDPR). You can also change or revoke your declaration of consent at any time, without giving reasons, effective for the future (Article 7 GDPR). To do this, please contact the following address:
